Dolly Parton has released an emotionally charged, powerful version of Wrecking Ball alongside her very own goddaughter, Miley Cyrus.
The release of the new rendition of the track comes 10 months after they first performed the song together on Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party which aired on NBC.
Speaking about the impact that the song had on her, Dolly said: “When I first heard it, I almost wept in my car. When it started into the chorus it hit me like a wrecking ball! I thought about how great the song is and how great Miley Cyrus can be. I had to have that song on my rock album, and I had to have Miley sing it with me! I love it and I hope you do too”.
Not only are the fans being treated with a new song, but her brand new album, Rockstar will be available for everyone to listen to on November 17. It is already one of the most anticipated projects for the entirety of 2023.
With some of the songs from the album track list already been released, fans seem to be absolutely loving the direction that the singer is taking, with the songs Bygones (feat. Rob Halford) and World On Fire both reaching number one slots on the Billboard Rock Digital Songs chart.
Dolly Parton is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, as she has just also released her new book, Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones, the second book in a three-party series. It follows the icons most memorable looks from the 1960’s to now, along with an inside look at the stories behind her lifelong passion for fashion.
With all of these new releases from Dolly, we are absolutely spoiled!
