Busted have been announced as performers at the award-winning Newmarket Night series on Friday 19th July 2024.
Newmarket Nights is the premier entertainment destination for the East. It’s best known for combining an electric evening at the races with an unforgettable evening concert in a casual, relaxed open-air setup. Busted have already headlined the shows back in 2016, which was a triumphant success.
Speaking about their return to the event, Busted said, We have had an unbelievable time on our anniversary tour this year and can’t wait to continue the celebrations in the summer! Outdoor shows are some of our favourites, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all in the glorious sunshine”.
Sophie Able, the general manager of Newmarket Racecourses agreed with Busted, saying, “Busted last headlined Newmarket Nights in 2016 and they’ve been long overdue a return visit. From Charlie winning The Masked Singer at the start of the year to the band finally clinching their first number one album, 2023 has truly been theirs. We can’t wait to welcome them back amongst a stellar line-up next year. 2024 is set to be an exciting year for us”.
2023 has been a whirlwind of a year for Busted, with it being exactly 20 years since they first appeared into the charts with the iconic pop-punk energy of their debut single, What I Go To School For, a song that is still known everywhere.
Not only is it twenty years since they first began, but last month they also gained their first ever number one album, and their 26-date anniversary tour was the biggest UK arena tour of 2023, seeing the band playing live to over 200,000 fans, showing that they truly are back bigger and stronger than ever.
