Known for his phenomenal acting talents in the likes of Stranger Things and Fargo, Joe Keery also has an incredible musical alter ego in the form of Djo. Following viral hits such as End of Beginning from 2022’s album DECIDE, Djo’s new album, The Crux, available for pre-order, will land April 4th via AWAL.
The first single Basic Being Basic, out now, gives us a glimpse of what’s in store. Talking about the track, Keery shared, “it’s kind of a shot fired to anyone who’s trying to be of the moment.”
The Crux, Co-produced by Keery and long-time collaborator Adam Thein, is a highly crafted work of art. Unlike previous albums which centre around a bedroom synth sound, this record promises lush guitars, and instrumentation reminiscent of late 60s and 70s pop. An album full of loss and yearning that also highlights wit and gratitude, its one to mark your calendars for.
If excitement of a new album wasn’t enough, we can finally look forward to Djo live shows. Receiving a BRIT Award nomination for International Song of the Year, there is sure to be a high demand for tickets on this global tour. The Djo – Back On You Tour will feature Post Animal as support on all North American, UK and EU tour dates.
