Music icon Camilla Cabello has released her highly anticipated latest single I LUV IT featuring rapper Playboi Carti. The single was written by Camilla and created alongside executive producer El Guincho, and producer Jasper Harris.
The grammy nominated singer has kept her fans on their toes by teasing the release in the weeks leading to it. She was seen at the Miami Heat basketball game wearing a custom jersey with I LUV IT written on the back.
The single comes before the release of her brand new album, which is said to be her entering a whole new era, in both her own life and her music career.
Speaking about her new song, Camilla said, “Certain things in our human realm do make me feel like I’m in outer space, and the very rare few times where I have had incredible chemistry with someone is one of them. Part of that cocktail is also the emotional drama between you and that person, and the chaos and butterflies and nerves. It is unsustainable and not peaceful, but also I LUV IT”.
Having featured on the March 2024 cover of Paper magazine, Camilla discusses her influences and inspiration of her new era. The track was described by the magazine as “a genuinely chaotic slice of fast and fuzzy digitized pop that wooshes past you like a Miami sports car”. The magazine went on to praise the collaboration, stating that “the results of this world building and creative discovery is Cabello’s fourth and boldest album, due for release this summer”.
The release of the single is accompanied by its daring music video, which was directed by Niolas Mendez at CANADA.
