Singer, songwriter Royal and The Serpent has joined forces with GRAMMY nominated, multiplatinum certified artist Gayle, for a brand new track, KINDA SMACKS. Teaming up against ex boyfriends, the intense single is sure to be a fan favourite.
The single is Royal’s first release since 2023 when she released RAT TRAP, a series of double sided singles. Later that same year the New Jersey artist also completed her first headline tour after opening for iconic artists like Demi Lovato.
Fans have always appreciated Royal’s unfiltered songwriting, especially on her inspiring LGBTQ+ anthem One Nations Underdog, which was released on her EP, RAT TRAP 1: The Blueprint.

KINDA SMACKS also marks the first release of 2024 for Gayle, following her hit single I don’t sleep as good as I used to.
2023 proved to be a landmark year for Gayle, with multiple music releases and a feature on BARBIE THE ALBUM soundtrack. As well as this, the star also served as a surprise guest on the much loved Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour.
After finishing her own headline tour last year, 2024 will see Gayle return to Europe and the UK to support the music sensation P!nk on her Carnival Summer Tour.
The tour kicks off on June 11th at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium then continuing throughout the whole of July, ending in Stockholm’s Friends Arena on 25th July.
