You Me At Six Announce End of The Road After 20 Years

It’s a sad time for music fans everywhere as much loved You Me At Six are calling things a day. Following a hugely successful career and being named UK rock royalty, we won’t be getting anymore hits.

Over their twenty year career, You Me At Six have had some incredible highs, including two number one albums, taking to main stages at many festivals, collaborating with other phenomenal artists, and becoming globally recognised. Often named as one of the pioneering pop punk/ rock bands for the UK, they have been a huge influence in growing the scene.

Having shared a huge range of bangers and sounds over the years, it’s heartbreaking to know it won’t be long before we cant hear the likes of Save It For The Bedroom, Bite My Tongue, and Take On The World, and of course, Underdog

For many, discovering You Me At Six was a gateway into a whole host of bands and genres, as well as gaining a life long favourite band.

Frontman Josh Franceschi says “When we started YMAS we were kids. We only ever wanted longevity, to travel and to experience life as a group of friends. We feel like on the eve of our 20th anniversary as a band, now is a good time to call time. We’re in a fortunate position where our fans still want to see us live and come celebrate the life of this band. So that is what we will do for 2024 and 2025. We can’t wait to see our fans on the road.”

The band made the announcement with this video:

Although it’s beyond devastating this is the end of the road for You Me At Six as we know it, it wouldn’t be a band ending things without a farewell tour. Embarking across the world in 2025 well see the perfect send off for both fans and the band alike.

However if you cant wait until then, You Me At Six are just about to head off on a run of sold out UK shows. Alongside their own tour, You Me At Six will also headline Slam Dunk at their last ever festival appearance.

While all good things must come to an end, it doesn’t make it any less painful and we have to say thank you for 20 years of bangers and pioneering.
