Festival season 2025 is drawing to a close and the Reading Festival Blues are kicking in. We’ve already marked our calendars for next year and the count down is on, but that void isn’t quite filled. What better way to help cheer up than to look back at some of the most iconic moments of Reading Festival 2025!
The highlight no-one could have predicted was The Kooks bringing out Rebel Wilson to join them for a cover of ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ – yes you read that right! We’ve all wondered if those festival scenes in movies are real or just a special effect, but now if you were in the crowd for this phenomenal performance, you’ve officially got your first movie credit and that question answered!
They say never meet your heroes, but who doesn’t dream of getting up on stage with their favourite band? And what an awesome moment when Limp Bizkit invited a fan up on the main stage to accompany them for ‘Full Nelson’. What a look of pure joy and an unforgettable memory!

Caity Baser surprising us with a set on the BBC Introducing Stage, three years after she first played on the stage! Full of infection energy, bops, and pure joy from start to finish, will 2026 be the year we see her take to the main stage?
Soft Play bringing out Kate Nash to join them for ‘Slushy’
Continuing with the special guest highlights, we couldn’t forget Sammy Virji bringing out Skepta for ‘Cops and Robbers’
Royal Otis covering ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ AND bringing out the disco queen herself Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Forever an iconic banger, and now an even more iconic moment .
Getting to see Chappell Roan performing Heart’s ‘Barracuda’. Diverse in her music talents and with vocal strengths beyond the imagination, we’re not exaggerating when we say this was a life changing experience. A legendary rock hit, and now a legendary moment in the Reading history books.
It’s never too soon to start planning ahead for the next festival season, and we’re already looking forward to seeing exactly how Reading and Leeds pull it out the bag once again with another phenomenal line up!
