Two years on from stepping back from the public eye, global sensation Lewis Capaldi is back. Making a return to the charts with brand new single, Survive, Capaldi has also been back in the headlines following the worst kept secret, secret set at Glastonbury Festival.
New track ‘Survive’ sees Capaldi once again join forces with close collaborator Romans, who co-wrote his global hit, ‘Someone You Loved’ that extraordinarily turned 10x Platinum earlier this year.
‘Survive’ comes off the back of a run of Scottish warm up shows in May that saw Lewis return to the stage as a guest of mental health charity CALM, in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week. Capaldi was given no pressure, and no level of expectation, it was simply a safe space to gauge his comfort levels and emotional response before returning to a bigger spotlight – something which ending up proving nothing short of a success.
Making a magnificent and emotional return to stage on Friday afternoon, Lewis Capaldi took to the iconic and world famous Pyramid Stage, with a enormous crowd full of emotion. With the sun beaming down, Capaldi delivered a stunning 30 minute set filled to the brim with all the best hits, adding “I just wanted to come and finish what I couldn’t finish last time”
Cracking out classics such as Before You Go, Grace, Hold Me While You Wait, Bruises, and Forget Me, combined with the emotional high of him making a return to the stage, there’s no surprise there was few dry eyes in the crowds.
Following the phenomenal success and great reception, Capaldi has now announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for September 2025 to really solidify his return to music. Featuring dates in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, and Dublin, there will be plenty of chances to catch the star.
