Wide Awake Festival, despite challenges, including a legal dispute over the use of Brockwell Park, maintained its reputation for vibrant energy and inclusivity for a 4th year running.
Belfast-based, Irish rap trio Kneecap headlined with a defiant performance, addressing political controversies and expressing solidarity with Palestine. Their set combined sharp humor, energetic beats, and a commitment to activism, culminating in a powerful crowd chant of “free, free Palestine”.

CMAT’s sunny performance matched the weather. which was was a highlight of the festival, blending witty lyrics with infectious melodies.
Dublin’s SPRINTS brought raw energy and emotion to the stage with their post-punk sound. Performing tracks from their debut album Letter To Self, the band delivered a high-octane set that resonated with fans.
Bristol duo Getdown Services captivated the audience with their unique blend of slacker-rock, funk, indie, and dance. Their set featured tracks from their debut album Crisps and the EP Crumbs, showcasing their infectious hooks and acerbic wit and cham, arguably being the biggest crowd to the msallest stage of the festival.Â
English Teacher’s set was a testament to their artistic evolution and a highlight of the festival, leaving an indelible impression on all who witnessed it. The setlist featured standout tracks such as You Blister My Paint, R&B, and Nearly Daffodils, each offering a poignant commentary on themes of identity, social issues, and personal introspection. The band’s ability to seamlessly weave complex musical arrangements with relatable narratives resonated deeply with festival-goers Wide Awake 2025 reaffirmed its status as a premier festival for those seeking innovative and politically conscious music.
