James Marriott Announces Album ‘Don’t Tell The Dog’Releasing June 13th & Drops New Track ‘It’s Only Love’

Viral sensation and Tiktok Darling James Marriott is delivering even more goodness with the announcement album ‘Don’t Tell The Dog’ which is just around the corner landing on June 13th. Although obviously that is still a little too far away, so to tide us over, we also have brand new track “It’s Only Love”

Reaching new heights with a combined 7 million streams on recent releases ‘Toothache’ and ‘I Don’t Want To Live Like This’ the confessional indie-pop artist is set to make a staggering chart impact with his second album release. Backed by a phenomenal demand for tickets on upcoming headline tours, seeing all UK dates instantly sell out and requiring venue upgrades, it’s a hugely exciting time to be following James.

New track ‘It’s Only Love’ comes from a different place to previous releases from Marriott and shows a growing eclecticism. With an 80s tinged alt-pop sound, infused with a melancholy Americana undertone that pays tribute to The 1975 and Phoebe Bridgers, there’s a special flare about this new offering.

Talking about the release, James shared “‘It’s Only Love’ is the third single from my upcoming sophomore album, ‘Don’t Tell The Dog’. I took a softer approach than the previous two singles, with verdant imagery in the lyricism and country-inspired instrumentation. I chose this as a single to demonstrate the softer, indie tones evident in parts of my second full-length album. It’s one of my softer vocal performances and I believe wholeheartedly that it shows another side to my artistry, which I hope to develop more with the release of ‘Don’t Tell The Dog’ on June 13th.”
