PVRIS Pairs Up With Tommy Genesis and Alice Longyu-Gao for New Single ‘Burn The Witch’

Music sensation PVRIS has released their first song of 2024 in collaboration with Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis and experimental DJ/vocalist Alice Longyu-Gao.

The all female powerhouse is a lethal combination for the brand new single Burn The Witch. The song see’s PVRIS signature production flair elevated to a whole new extreme.

Historically, men have feared and persecuted women’s power and magic, but propelled by unstoppable punk, political and raucous energy, the song is a testament to each of the artist’s unique creative vision and the power of female collaborations.

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen of PVRIS shares, “I’ve been a huge fan of both Tommy and Alice for quite a while so it was an absolute dream to not only have them on a track together but to also get to be crafting the production around their parts”.

She continued, “At its core, I just wanted to make a fun project full of some bad bitches in music that I love and create a space where we can express whatever we want and get to experiment sonically. I just didn’t want to be overly precious about it, I just wanted to have fun and free flow!”.

Not only is this PVRIS’s first song of 2024, but it also acts as the leading single to their upcoming project. The project will be the followup to the critically acclaimed fourth studio album EVERGREEN, which debuted at number one on the UK Official Top Rock and Metal Albums chart.

Speaking about the recording process, Gunnulfsen explained, “The track was produced and recorded around the world while on tour and in between tours at the end of last year. I started it for fun in a coffee shop. Soon after, I worked on completing it in various locations. The track was finished on my parents couch the night I flew in for the holidays.”

Fans of PVRIS are in for a treat this year as this April will mark the beginning of a 47 date international headline tour, with stops at the infamous Troxy in London and the Wiltern in Los Angeles.

Tickets are available via the official PVRIS website.
