With Christmas well and truly behind us, we’re onto the next most exciting time of the year; the first wave festival announcements. Year on year, Truck Festival never fails to let us down, constantly offering a gorgeous range of established and rising acts, 2024 will be no different.
As one of the most feel good festivals of the year, you’ll want your alarms set to secure tickets. Pulling together an excellent bill ranging from indie, alternative and pop icons, there truly is something for every kind of festival goer.
Leading the pack of four fantastic headliners comes indie poet laureate Jamie T. With a generation defining debut album, he’s become a landmark for singalongs.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, no doubt you will have heard of Isle of White legends, Wet Leg. Hot off an incredible run of festival appearances and supporting spots in 2023, we’re beyond happy to see them once again take to a main stage in headline position. With their truly unique and stand out vibe this set is one to make sure you can’t miss out on.
Named as one of the best live bands on the planet right now, IDLES will also be taking to the main stage to close out a night at Truck Festival. With a huge injection of adrenaline, you’ll be pulled in by the unmistakable presence of frontman Joe Talbot.
Bringing the weekend to a close will see all time indie hall of fame icons, The Kooks. What better way to round up a weekend at Hill Farm than singing along to incredible summer bangers. With hits like Naïve, She moves In Her Own Way, and Ooh La, where the lyrics are ingrained into our memory, there’s no excuse not to be singing along.
If the headliners weren’t enough to get you excited, across the weekend attendees will also be able to catch Truck royalty Declan McKenna returning for his biggest moment to date; and celebrating the release of new album What Happened To The Beach?
Also announced on this stacked line up come Yard Act, Holly Humberstone, Sea Girls, Black Honey, Peace, The Snuts, Soft play, and The Magic Gang. Alongside a host of instantly recognisable names, its likely you’ll be walking away with a host of new names on your playlist as Truck continues to support the next waves of talent.
Amongst the new names come the likes of Newdad, Neive Ella, Antony Szmierek, and 86TVs. The hardest decision you’ll have to make is not if you should get tickets, but planning out your clash finders for each day!
Speaking about Truck Festival 2024, Head Of Marketing Sam Harris said: “It’s that time again! When we sit down to plan Truck every year, we treat the weekend like the ultimate summer party – complete with friends, amazing moments and the artists we love all in one place. To welcome long-awaited headliners like Jamie T and The Streets to Hill Farm is a true honour, whilst having Wet Leg headline their very first festival with us is going to make for a very special weekend. Whether it’s discovering new favourites, diving straight into mosh-pits thanks to those legends The Oxford Symphony Orchestra, singing along to your favourite songs or checking out the amazing comedy/family entertainment on offer – Truck 2024 is a landmark year for us and we can’t wait to see everyone there! We’ll get our requests for Barrioke in now…”
