The new era of Paloma Faith begins, setting the tone early with a stage background screen for the audience to muse on arrival with the words from song one on The Glorification of Sadness album – ‘There’s nothing more human than failure’.
No support act this evening and a show built in two parts broaches a beginning of something new rather than the loss of familiarity. Opening strong with There’s Nothing More Human Than Failure followed by How You Leave A Man the raw enigmatic performance you would expect from Paloma and given the new album material you’d potentially perceive sadness however it’s clear this album is a love letter to her future self and strength in the vulnerability when shared with a room full of strangers.
