It’s an exciting time to be a fan of George Ezra, not only have we got a brand new single Green Green Grass, taken from up coming new album Gold Rush Kid, theres also a full UK arena tour to come following his biggest ever headline show at Finsbury Park.

The BRIT Award-winning and multi-platinum musician has given a taste of whats to come with the new album with this infectious new single, the second track to be shared off the new album due for release on 10th June via Columbia Records.

The single arrives alongside the announcement of a huge nationwide UK arena tour, scheduled for September and October, following George’s special show at London’s Finsbury Park in July. This brand new track is completely addictive and a total ray of sunshine that’ll you want to keep on loop. Creating a feeling of summer even on the darkest days, Green Green Grass is an irresistible and instant hit. Short and sweet, the track features highly catchy lyrics you will most likely find yourself singing all day long.

Talking on the track, Ezra shared

“I was on holiday in St Lucia with a few friends at Christmas 2018, with two of my closest mates from home. We were in this beach bar, drinking homemade rum punch and Piton, the local lager, flip-flopping between the two, pissing about with three local guys who worked there. And this music started up, three streets back from the sea. After about half an hour, I had to go see what it was. And there was a street party going on, with three different sound systems, people cooking in the street. I asked a woman what was going on and she told me it was a funeral – for three people. They were celebrating three lives! I thought: that is not how we do this at home. And it’s really beautiful.”

Following on from album opener Anyone For You, a track that continues to climb the UK Official Singles Chart, Green Green Grass further shows off Ezra’s gorgeous vocals and bright melodies. Having already secured two incredibly popular albums, there isn’t an ounce of doubt Gold Rush Kid will be any less than a huge success.

Following on from the release of Gold Rush Kid, playing London’s Finsbury Park, a special all day event, will see Ezra play his biggest live show on July 17th 2022. Joining Ezra for his first live show in almost three years will include special guests Blossoms, Holly Humberstone, Mimi Webb, The Big Mood, Mychelle and the London International Gospel Choir. Presented by Festival Republic, this summer show is certainly a date for the diary.

As well as this exciting event, a full nationwide UK arena tour will follow in September and October. Starting at Liverpool M&S Bank Arena on 13th September for a run of 11 shows. Not only is have we got new music and tour dates to be excited about, George Ezra has also announced a partnership with YouTube Music to be their Sustainability Partner for 2022

He says: “I am conscious that creating, touring and promoting a record has an impact on the environment, so I am delighted to announce I will be working with YouTube Music as their Sustainability Partner for 2022. They have very generously provided a significant financial contribution to support a cause of my choosing; this is going to be The National Trust, who are working hard to reverse the decline in nature and reduce the impact of climate change by planting trees and restoring landscapes.
