UPDATE: Unfortunately the event has had to be postponed due to COVID related issues – A new date is yet to be announced.
With Christmas just around the corner, the third edition of Reading Rising is set to give a day of the best local talent from Reading and the surrounding area. With every edition the event has grown with this years set to be the biggest yet.
What better Christmas present to ask for than a full day of hugely talented musicians and ZERO clashes. With live music making such a great come back, this is set to be one bash to see out the year.
Taking place on Saturday the 18th December, the incredible Press To MECO are on the headline slot. The perfect chance to catch tracks from their most recent release Transmuste.
Alongside Press To MECO, Facebar will host two stages with 11 other bands. Acts include local talent, Phantom Booth as well as rising ones to watch All Ears Avow, plus, DEFENCES, Arcaeon, Lastelle and InAir.
As if that wasn’t enough reason to get excited, Forlorn will be crossing genres with their atmospheric riffmastery, angry alt-rock from Lake Acacia, frenetic post-hardcore from Tether and Weaponry and the conceptually creative prog-rock of three piece Mercury’s Well.
Advance tickets can be brought here, although some tickets are available on the door, it’s best to get your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
For extra piece of mind; COVID protocols will be fully in place for the event. Attendees will need to show their vaccine passport, or provide proof of a negative lateral flow test. Full details on the COVID protocols for Reading Rising can be read on this post.
