Mental Health should be something everyone can talk about, openly, every day and with today being World Mental Health day we want to shout about it even more. Every body has mental health and it’s important we all look after ourselves, as well as each other.

For music lovers like us music can be a therapy in itself and so the Pop Sins team have joined together to create a list of our favourite uplifting lyrics, so if you need a bit of a pick me up, check out these tracks…

“You’re not alone, together we stand. I’ll be by your side, you know, I’ll take your hand”
Avril Lavigne – Keep Holding On

“It’s just a spark, but it’s enough to keep me going”
Paramore – Last Hope

“I promise you it’ll all make sense again”
dodie – Secret For The Mad

“I throw myself from heights that used to scare me…don’t kill my vibe, don’t break my stride”
Sigrid – Dont Kill My Vibe

“Oh joy when you call me, I was giving up, I was giving in. How do you always know when I’m down?
“You’re a sweet release you save me from my brain”

Bastille – Joy

“I finally realized, all of this time. It was in me. All along, it was in me.”
Avril Lavigne – It Was In Me

“When people try to get you down, remember that I’m here for you. No one else can wear your crown. It’s yours, just yours. When all you wanna do is hide I’m sitting there, right by your side. And no one else can steal your light ‘Cause it’s yours, just yours.”
Oh Wonder – Dust

Tonight is the night, Tonight is the night. I might have wasted the tears, But I won’t waste the years. Tonight is the night, Tonight is the night, I admit to myself, That I’m asking for help.
McFly – Tonight Is The Night

“There’s nothing wrong with loving who you are”
Lady Gaga – Born This Way

“Just relax my friend, You’re overthinking, And even if there is a problem, There’s a solution.
Remember to breathe, Put your mind at ease, Soon this feeling’s gonna pass, You will find relief.”

Field Medic – Song I made up to stop myself from having a panic attack
