U.S chart topper Lindsay Ell has unveiled her latest single make you and shared details about her newly launched charitable fund Make You Movement.
The single, co-written by Lindsay and GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Brandy Clark, signifies the first time she has publicly addressed being a survivor of sexual abuse.
Speaking about the single, Lindsay explained “The day we wrote ‘make you’ I knew we had written something special that will hopefully help others to not feel alone in their survival. Personally, it was finally the moment in my life where I got to validate that little girl inside – letting her know that ‘I see her and I love her.’
In conjunction with the release of make you Lindsay launched the Make You Movement, a charitable fund whose mission is to help organisations that support at risk youth, domestic abuse and sexual assault survivors by providing funds on an as-needed basis.
All proceeds from the single will be donated to the movement.
