Having released their debut single last month, South London duo PELA are back with their second single South Of.

Telling us more about their debut, PELA explain: “South Of is the first song we wrote together and made us decide to become PELA. We landed on a particular sound world, existing on the intersection of our musical influences, which created the driving beats, flirtatious vocal duet and climatic ending that you hear. With “South Of”, we realised that we could look at songwriting / production in a new and less linear way (than what we were doing individually) and this ignited PELA’s sonic identity, paving the way for our future tracks.”

All revenue from Bandcamp sales for South Of will be split between the Black Lives Matter UK fund and the Justice for Breonna Taylor fund.

Posting on Facebook the duo said:

“Although our platform is a small one right now, we must be proactive in our anti-racism. We have a series of releases coming out, please choose @bandcamp when listening to / downloading our music and all revenue from our Bandcamp sales will go to an anti-racism & social justice organisation. Starting with Black Lives Matter UK & The Justice for Breonna Taylor Fund.

“Bandcamp will also be donating their share of their sales to @naacp_ldf on June 19th every year from now.”
