Pop Sins has been clapping along with the nation every Thursday for the last few weeks and now songstress Beverley Knight has gone one further!
Joining forces with everyone’s favourite TV doctor, Dr Ranj Singh and Beverley Knight are leading a viral campaign to show just how much the UK is behind the NHS and its volunteers in these turbulent and challenging times with a cover of Bill Withers’ Lean on Me.
Watch the video for Lean On Me below:
Coordinated by Young Guns Entertainment’s Dominic and Alexander Lyon, Beverley said the cause is close to her heart having strong NHS connections: her mum is a former nurse, her sister works for the 111 Emergency helpline and her brother has recently recovered from Covid-19.
Due to adhering to social distancing guidelines, the record was recorded across 30 different studios with 100 different voices, including Joss Stone, as well as gospel and community choirs, to create a song of hope and reassurance for our NHS workforce.
